Vandalism in Vic Street

On October 19th, and eye-witness reported regarding a vandalism act. In a multi-story carpark, cars were sprayed with paint and scratched mercilessly using sharp objects. Attached were photos of the incident.






Residents are encouraged to be on the lookout for each other and inform any suspicious characters in the neighbourhoods.

Some tips to prevention about vandalism:

Vehicles:

# While going shopping or anywhere please park your vehicles in the vehicles parking lot.
# During the night hours don't park your vehicles out side your compound wall.
# If you notice an unattended and unknown vehicle parked for a day or more, inform the local police, beat constables or Police Control Room

Others/Jewelry/Cash:

# Keep your valuables or money safely tucked away inaccessibly on your person while traveling in public transportations. If you carrying them in a bag, keep the bag close to your person in front of you.
# Don't keep valuables or money in the side box of your parked two-wheeler.
# Don't leave valuables or money in your Car while parking.

Dear Residents,

When you leave your vehicle after parking it…
• Do not leave valuables (e.g. handphones, laptops, bags, etc) inside your vehicle.
• Do not forget to remove the cash card from your In-vehicle Unit (IU). A thief may smash the window or windscreen to steal it.
Call ‘999’ if you see a suspicious person loitering or tampering with vehicles around the car park.

Take note of his / her physical description (e.g. height, built, attire, etc.), vehicle-type that was used by the suspect and its registration number.
